OUR STORY
After nearly two decades of medical experience, the founders of Mend noticed repeating care gaps for patients with chronic wounds:

- Home health agencies relied upon a constrained primary care for targeted and updated treatment plans based on wound progression.
- Primary care providers dealing with packed clinical schedules leaving little room for multispecialty coordination, home health integration, and frequent follow up visits.
- Most treating providers are unaware of the abundant resources available to thoughtfully target treatment plans.

- Specialists struggled to find time to coordinate with all necesary parties involved.
​
- Hospital and rehab discharge planners struggled to find a specialty group that could truly help minimize re-hospitalizations due to wound regression.
​
- Few wound care practices were available and often only treated patients qualifying for expensive products.
​
- Meanwhile, patients themselves saw time slipping away with wounds that seemed would never heal.
The founders of Mend Wound Solutions felt something needed to change for the better of our community.
So in early 2024, Mend was born to fill the need and restore quality of life for both patients and health care workers.
